Our Mission Empowering youth today, for Change tomorrow. California Youth Democracy Alliance is a non-partisan non-profit partnership dedicated to educating and engaging California's youth leaders to create positive changes for their communities and in their state. We aim to EMPOWER youth to advocate for the changes they want in their communities. CYDA is building a culture of youth activism, with an awareness that issues affecting our lives are influenced by public policy. True democratic participation goes beyond registering and voting. Student leaders will advocate for public policies with their own ideas and opinions and become increasingly engaged for years to come.
