California Youth Democracy Alliance

California Youth Democracy Alliance (CYDA) is a non-partisan non-profit group which grounds its roots in civic engagement and public policy. CYDA encourages and involves high school and college youth in all the workings of the democratic process.   CYDA fosters youth leaders to engage in issues important to them, consult with subject experts and legislators, deliberate with peers and explore policy alternatives in local, regional and web-based forums.

Our goal is for CYDA members is to develop policy to communicate their views and present recommendations to lawmakers. We also encompass strategies and tactics to create successful campaigns and youth lead media projects to promote public support and encourage peers to become informed and active.
